#WeAreArity Wednesday: Lisa Itzkowitz
When my friend asks me what it is that I do again, I say…
At Arity, I design marketing materials that turn complex ideas into visually interesting and digestible pieces of information.
In your own words, what is Arity?
Arity is at the forefront of how people view and interact with the transportation industry.
My favorite mode of transportation is…
An airplane, and my two feet or a bicycle once I’m at my destination.
On a Saturday afternoon, you can find me…
Running or lounging along Lake Michigan.
If you could volunteer for any cause, what would it be? Why?
I am currently a Big with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in Chicago. I’m thankful that I have the time to give back to my community and I wanted to volunteer with an organization that makes a true, personal impact. I believe that having a mentor and being a mentor, influences the way you move through the world and how you see your present and future self.
Most people don’t know…
I have always wanted to open my own bakery/café.
The theme song of my life is…
Dance Yrself Clean by LCD Soundsystem.
Talk to your rideshare driver or silent ride?
I prefer a silent ride; I’m usually listening to my own music.
Would you get in a self-driving car? Why or why not?
Probably not. Driving is just as relaxing to me as being in the passenger seat.
Favorite innovation pioneer?
Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, as he focused on creating a modernist style that defined a decade of architecture. His “less is more” approach to design and architecture inspired a generation of designers (including myself) and architects globally, as well as influenced much of Chicago’s landscape.
