#WeAreArity Wednesday: Jeff Gullet
When Mom asks me what it is that I do again, I say…
At Arity, I… find individuals who are passionate about technology and help them to find a home with us. I love recruiting and being the matchmaker. And working with the various departments and hiring managers allows me to have a great overview of the complexity, innovation, and excitement that we have!
In your own words, what is Arity?
Arity is an amazing tech company with purpose and passion. Analyzing massive amounts of data, Arity is creating meaningful insights to help individual consumers and businesses to make smarter decisions about transportation.
My favorite mode of transportation is…
Flying in an airplane. I’m a big kid when it comes to take offs and landings. Got to have the window seat!….Except when traveling with my kids. Then they get the window seat and I have to be a grown up.
On a Saturday afternoon, you can find me…
Hanging with my wife and kids or working on some project around the house. If it’s a nice day, I’ll go for a bike ride, go fishing, or dominate in a game of bags.
If you could volunteer for any cause, what would it be? Why?
I’m a big fan of Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). We’ve volunteered with them several times putting together food packets for people around the globe. With as much wealth that we as a society have, its hard to imagine that true hunger and malnutrition still exists. It’s a rewarding experience to make the food packets.
Most people don’t know…
I am a ninja. Ok, maybe not quite a ninja. But I do have a 3rd degree black belt. I’ve been involved in martial arts since I was a kid and have a passion for it.
The theme song of my life is…
This is a tough one. I have so many options to choose from and it depends on my mood. Right now it’s a toss-up between “Born to be Wild” by Steppenwolf or “One Step Closer” by Linkin Park!
Talk to your rideshare driver or silent ride?
Definitely talk. I have yet to run across someone who doesn’t have an interesting story. And the conversation helps pass the time!
Would you get in a self-driving car? Why or why not?
Hell yeah! I think that technology is amazing! Imagine the freedom to eat, text, watch videos, or even take a nap while traveling…wait, that’s what I already do on the train…
