At Arity, I work on the compliance and privacy team to ensure the way we are collecting, storing and using data are legal, ethical and up to the standards we have communicated to our customers.
In your own words, what is Arity?
Arity is a mobility analytics company – we are able to turn data from users of our partner apps into valuable insights for our customers like insurance companies.
What is your work for home set up like?
I’m set up in our guest room which has a Southwest theme and decorated with art and accents from my time living and traveling there with my wife. I have a standing desk so I can stretch out and focus in a different way throughout the day. My set up just got an upgrade thanks to the Allstate Good Office program. I now have a great monitor and a quieter keyboard.
We all commuted into the office prior to COVID, how are you spending the extra time?
Now that it’s growing season, I get out there to give my garden a drink and pick a few weeds while having my coffee. I also use that time to get my workouts in – either running in the neighborhood, on my spin bike or taking yoga, HIIT or strength class on youtube or through an app.
Most people don’t know …
I used to skate roller derby with the Windy City Rollers.

Would you get in a self-driving car? Why or why not?
Yes I would! I believe autonomous vehicles, especially at scale, can reduce risk and the number of collisions due to driver error.
Favorite innovation pioneer?
Marie Curie – first woman to receive the Nobel Prize (twice!) for helping to discover radioactivity and inventing the techniques that identified the elements polonium and radium.
