In our #WeAreArity series, we shine a spotlight on Arity employees each week. This week meet, Scrum Master, Parminder Kaur.

When Mom asks me what it is that I do again, I say…

At Arity, I work with a bunch of technocrats that handle big data from connected cars. My team ensures that all the data captured from the real-time trips are stored and used appropriately. As a company, we help the transportation industry get smarter and safer.

In your own words, what is Arity?

Some of our messaging says it all when we say, “Engineering the future…”. I see Arity as a collaborative group of innovative technology driven minds who work together for a common purpose of improved mobility. Arity is keenly building a safer and smarter system that empowers the future of transportation.

My favorite mode of transportation is

By car. Road trips fascinate me – especially if I am driving!

On a Saturday afternoon, you can find me

At home, playing and reviewing some novel work done by 9-year-old daughter.

If you could volunteer for any cause, what would it be? Why? …

Education – I firmly believe that the gift of education is something that lasts a life time. At an age where kids are too young to understand the importance, we need to teach them the basics with clarity. Depending on the environment and circumstances, underprivileged children aren’t even offered the opportunity to receive basic education. Giving a strong foundation and a stable education will help them live a good life, both for themselves and our society.

Most people don’t know I…

I am a certified Handwriting Analyst!

The theme song of my life is

Return to Innocence by Enigma

Talk to your rideshare driver or silent ride?

Talk to the rideshare driver – They have immense knowledge on almost every topic under the sun as they are practically experiencing all areas. Talking to them may generate a new perspective on a subject you are particularly interested in.

Would you get in a self-driving car? Why or why not?

I would love to sit in the front seat of a self-driving car! The car can drive while I simultaneously read the book that I started last year. Jokes aside – I would like to experience a drive such as this that relies on super smart sensors without any risk of a mishap.

Favorite innovation pioneer?

It is without a doubt, Elon Musk.
