With oversight of Product Management for the Mobility Intelligence team, Katie leads the development and recommendations for new techniques and processes to build innovative solutions for Arity’s Insurance customers. Before joining Arity, DeGraaf spent more than a decade at Willis Towers Watson where she played a key role in launching its telematics rating solution, DriveAbility. Katie has a deep passion for telematics and has spoken on the subject across the globe. She also serves on the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies Personal Lines Conference Planning Committee and is a mentor for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation.

Kyle Schmitt

As a senior data scientist, Kyle manages the Advanced Sensor Insights team specializing in telematics data, synthesis, and insurance risk modeling. With his colleagues, he is working toward solving the toughest challenges of the day in mobile data telematics. This includes driver vs. passenger characterization, collision detection, and distracted driving detection. Kyle joined Arity in October 2016. Before then, he spent six years in the energy sector utilizing predictive analytics and probabilistic modeling for nuclear power system applications. Kyle received his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering
